If you knew paying a yearly fee of $40-60 would help Sony get its finances stabilized and use that capital to fund other projects games would you still not support them?

Wow.. They are really adding value to Live. Hell, we are gonna have dedicated servers now, id pay for that alone.

I love that all this positive game related news is coming out. Cant wait for E3, taking the day off from work :)

People fear what they don't understand, hate what they cant conquer. Have you been paying any attention to the new kinect or are you talking about the old one; im confused.

The engineering videos ive seen are crazy accurate with pretty much no noticeable lag.

Look everyone both consoles are going in different directions but I fear Sony has chosen a difficult path. They need to have services to back up their games.

Imagine if someone launched a tablet that ONLY played games. It would get crushed in the marketplace by the likes of apple/google.

Times are changing... We as gamers have to change with them.

If Sony is counting on gamers to get it where it wants to be financially then they are doomed. ...

ok... then its obvious you dont need one. Nothing to see here for you bud.

Whoa dude, are you kidding me! Dedicated for all games... whoa... that alone is worth price of admission.

Thanks for the links...

Their not streaming the entire game only pieces. Plus onlive did not have the financial muscle to push it. Your internet is only part of the puzzle.

I think they mentioned in an engineering interview the cloud computing could help with that... not sure how.

Well buckle in buddy... e3 is a coming!

I think MS did a good job getting their media stuff out of the way before e3. Imagine if they would have brought that presentation to e3? The internet wouldve exploded.

I really dont get why people are fussing so much. 19 days after reveal we will see the games.. im cool with that.

Well Malo, heres hoping e3 puts a smile on our face.

Nah man, i was dying to get this off my chest. I was excited for kinect in terms of gaming but the latency was just to high for core games.

I was watching this GT video where they interviewd two kinect engineers. They showed a quick clip of a guy playing with xbox controller. He started getting shot at and raised his controller which brought up a riot shield; it was pretty much instant.

Where am i going with that comment. Cryteks game ryze might be the hard c...

THat makes two of us brother... I am so excited for e3. I hope ms says it will be available shortly after their presentation like September... My Birthday month.. Hey a man can dream cant he :)

Wow, Fight Night Kinect please, please, please... Imagine your opponent starts to recognize that you are tired because the system can sense your heart beat and he ges in for the kill. OMG!!!!

Jeeeekkkkk!!!! I thought the exact same thing. I mean dont get it wrong. I liked the kinect and had a lot of fun it with my family but I feel like they gathered a ton of data for their next gen. At this point their software will be leaps and bounds over what it was.

Now throw in some sick hardware, camera and high speed throughput (2Gps) and you have yourself the minority report experience we thought we were getting with kinect.

Core gamers, can you just wait for E3? Is that so hard. Its like 18 days away. They came out, showed the equipment and interface and their direction. Spencer said they have more exclusives in development right now than any other time in its history. The games are coming...

Now that they have this "entertainment" message out the way they can focus on games at e3. You know why? Because E3 is a games convention.

Now imagine if they didn't do this ...

Internet is going to get better. I work for a small telecom company that offers 1gb connections to our customers. Google fiber is pushing boundaries. Remember the us is not the world leaders in Internet speeds. Knowing the tech savvy companies in the good ol u s of a we will be there sooner than later. Shoot, I get 32 down and 12 up and only pay like $50 a month.

My point exactly. You think they added all those servers so you can have a bigger friends list. Heck no... This is a super powered version of Onlive but instead of running the entire game far way and then streaming it. It will run processes for your system allowing the local Xbox to do other things.

4770d ago 4 agree13 disagreeView comment

Not entirely. The cloud can do many things. One of which is handle some of the processes for the Xbox leaving room the console itself to handle operations that need real time attention.

In a few years we will be blown away. Mark my words, some company will really get this and come along with an experience and presentation unlike we ever seen or imagined.

Mix, you need to read about how this tech works. Do you think all the rage over cloud in the industry as a whole is just to store data. No, server farms will be crunching numbers. When your Xbox/ps3 loads now its not consistent. It offloads data upfront then stops. These are the types of tasks servers can handle. Also, they are developing software for devs. Who knows if the Xbox one can buffer data as it comes in.
